Do you have any collections?
Once upon a time, my shelves were adorned with snow globes, each encapsulating a miniature world of serene landscapes and majestic mountains. These glass spheres held within them a glimpse of the great outdoors, offering a fleeting escape from the confines of daily life. But as time passed, I found myself drawn more to the allure of experiencing nature firsthand rather than through a manufactured lens.
The decision to stop collecting snow globes wasn’t a sudden one. It was a gradual realization that nothing could compare to the sights, sounds, and sensations of actually being outdoors. The crisp mountain air, the whisper of leaves in a forest, the breathtaking vistas stretching out before me – these were experiences that no snow globe could ever replicate.
So, I traded the comfort of my cozy home for the thrill of outdoor exploration with my husband Snatcher. Hiking through rugged trails, camping under starlit skies, and immersing myself in the raw beauty of nature became my new obsession. Each adventure brought with it a sense of fulfillment and awe that no trinket on a shelf could match.
Today, my shelves may be devoid of snow globes, but my heart is full of memories made in the great outdoors. As I continue to seek new adventures, I’m grateful for the realization that the most captivating landscapes are the ones we discover with our own two feet.
