Wherever We Land

We’re Nikki and Snatcher, and we’ve been married for twenty years. And let me tell you, it feels like the closer we get with each passing year. We raised three wonderful children, and with two in college and one already out on their own, we found ourselves with more time on our hands than ever before. Now, some couples might dread that empty space, but for us, it was an exciting new chapter.

We wouldn’t say our journey has been a bed of roses, but our faith and unwavering belief in God have seen us through many obstacles life threw our way. With the kids older and more independent, we realized we had a chance to reconnect, not just with each other, but also with a simpler way of life we both cherished as children.

Remember the days when parents shooed their kids outside to play? We certainly do. We spent our childhoods outdoors, fueled by our imaginations and surrounded by God’s breathtaking landscapes. As adults, we rediscovered that childlike love for the outdoors, and along the way, we rekindled that spark of creativity we once had.

This newfound passion led us to create our YouTube channel, Wherever We Land. It’s a space where we share our outdoor adventures, hoping to inspire others to embrace the beauty and peace of nature. We’ve explored campsites all across Western North Carolina, documenting our journeys in engaging videos.

One of our recent projects is a video specifically geared towards first-time tent campers. We know the idea of sleeping under the stars can be intimidating, so we put together a step-by-step guide to ease beginners into the experience.
