What alternative career paths have you considered or are interested in?

If I had my choice in my career, I would love to work from home doing outreach. My heart would be in reaching out through phone calls to the sick and shut-in, offering them words of encouragement and reminding them of God’s ever-present love and faithfulness. In the busyness of life, many people often forget that even in the darkest moments, God is still there, and He never leaves our side. Through this outreach, I would be a vessel to remind them of that truth.

The scripture that echoes this encouragement comes from Deuteronomy 31:6, which says, “Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.” (KJV)

Imagine being able to bring this powerful message to someone who is alone, battling illness, or feeling forgotten. Reminding them that no matter how hard the struggle is, God is with them through it all. The simple act of picking up the phone and sharing this truth would be a way for me to live out my faith, fulfilling the call to spread God’s Word.

This career would be the perfect opportunity for me because I would be able to encourage others in their weakest moments, helping them understand that God’s presence surrounds them, no matter what. I would remind them that He holds them in His hands, and He will never let them go. Being the voice that shares this message could lift someone’s spirits, give them hope, and point them back to the Word of God, which is full of comfort and life.

Not only would this outreach fulfill my desire to help people spiritually, but it would also flow seamlessly into the work Snatcher and I already do while traveling and camping. As we take our camping trips throughout the year, I envision those same words of encouragement being spread around the campfire, as we meet others who need to hear that God is with them wherever they are.

In every tent, every forest, and every open sky, there are people who might not know the depth of God’s love, and I believe it would be my duty to continue spreading that message, whether on the phone or in person.

Being able to combine my passion for encouraging others, working from home, and spreading the gospel during our adventures would make this career path a perfect blend of everything I love. It would allow me to share the good news that God is near, no matter the circumstance or location. Through every phone call and every camping trip, I would be fulfilling the great commission to spread His Word and be a light in the world.

I am grateful for any opportunity to remind others of the truth found in Romans 8:38-39: “For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (KJV)

What greater joy could there be than helping others remember this promise?
