Is there an age or year of your life you would re-live?
When people ask about the “good old days” or wonder about going back to a certain age, it’s natural to reflect on memories that shaped us. But for me, there isn’t an age I’d like to relive. Each year brings its own richness, its unique growth, and new reasons to celebrate. I find joy in moving forward, in embracing each birthday as another gift and looking toward what’s still to come with excitement and faith.
Looking Forward to the Journey with Snatcher
Every year with Snatcher, my best friend and partner, brings new memories and adventures. As we grow together, our camping journeys offer more than just beautiful landscapes; they provide moments to reflect, learn, and draw closer to each other and to God. Whether we’re setting up camp in a secluded forest, cooking over an open fire, or finding ways to improve our outdoor skills, these experiences constantly deepen our bond and our appreciation for God’s creation. Our job journeys, too, keep evolving, creating fresh opportunities to support each other and share in each other’s growth.
Growing in Faith and Wisdom
There’s a comfort that comes from aging in faith, knowing that every year is a step closer to wisdom. The Bible is my daily source of knowledge and strength, and as I grow older, I feel an even stronger pull to know it deeply. Becoming an elder is more than just getting older; it’s about growing in understanding, compassion, and humility. With each passing year, I aim to live by the principles that guide me, so that my actions speak louder than words as I share God’s love and truth.
Welcoming New Experiences and Milestones
To me, each birthday is a milestone, a blessing that reminds me of all the experiences I still get to look forward to. Our camping and job adventures continue, as does my journey in faith and learning. There’s no age I’d trade, no time I’d go back to—only the days and years I pray are still ahead.
So here’s to more birthdays, more adventures, and more wisdom. And here’s to looking forward with hope, embracing the unknown with a heart full of gratitude and faith.
