Name your top three pet peeves.

I’m a pretty easygoing person. I don’t sweat the small stuff, and I can usually roll with the punches. I’ve got a pretty high tolerance for most things. Except for one, tiny, ridiculously specific thing that drives me absolutely bonkers.

Are you ready for it? Drumroll, please…

Repeating myself during a conversation.

Yep, that’s it. That’s the one.

Now, I know what you’re thinking. “That’s not even a real pet peeve!” But let me tell you, it’s a bigger deal than you think. It’s like a tiny little thorn in my side, constantly nagging at me.

It’s not just about the repetition itself. It’s the implication that I haven’t been clear enough, or that you haven’t been paying attention. It’s like a little slap in the face, a tiny insult to my intelligence.

I’ve tried to be understanding. I’ve tried to be patient. But sometimes, it just gets to be too much. I’ll start to feel myself getting a little irritated, a little frustrated. I might even start to say things like, “I just said that!” or “Are you even listening to me?”

So, next time you’re talking to me, please, for the love of all that is holy, pay attention. Don’t make me repeat myself. It’s not that I mind repeating myself, per se. It’s just that I’d rather be doing something else, like, I don’t know, talking to someone who’s actually listening.
