Wherever We Land

Snatcher and I have talked about it countless times—the Outer Banks of North Carolina. It’s one of those places that has been on our minds for years, yet we’ve never quite made it there. Stretching along the coast with its wild beauty, historic lighthouses, and peaceful beaches, it feels like the perfect escape, and it’s not too far from home. Every time we bring it up, the excitement builds, especially for Snatcher—he can’t wait to cast his fishing line into the waters and spend hours enjoying one of his favorite pastimes. 

Right now, we’re fully focused on transforming our Dodge Ram ProMaster into the camper van of our dreams. GLO is coming together piece by piece, and once she’s ready, we can’t wait to hit the road and experience everything the Outer Banks has to offer. Just imagining the drive along Highway 12, with the dunes on one side and the ocean on the other, is enough to make us eager to get started. 

Planning this trip will take some careful thought. The Outer Banks has so much to offer, from the towering sand dunes at Jockey’s Ridge to the wild horses roaming the shores of Corolla. We’ll need to make sure GLO is stocked with all our essentials—cozy bedding, our favorite campfire cooking supplies, and of course, Snatcher’s fishing gear. Whether he’s casting from the shore or trying out one of the iconic fishing piers, I know he’s going to be in his element, and I’ll be right there enjoying the peacefulness of it all. 

More than anything, we’re looking forward to experiencing the simple joys of the Outer Banks. Early morning walks on the beach, trying fresh seafood from a local spot, and sitting by the water with our Bibles in hand, soaking in the beauty of God’s handiwork. This trip won’t just be about sightseeing—it’ll be a time to reconnect, reflect, and appreciate the life we’re building together, one adventure at a time. 

Of course, we can’t forget the opportunity to create content for our YouTube channel, sharing not just the scenic views but also our journey of faith and how we’re embracing this new chapter with GLO. We hope our experiences will inspire others to step away from the daily grind, explore the outdoors, and find peace in God’s creation. 

The Outer Banks has been on our hearts for so long, and with Snatcher dreaming about fishing and me looking forward to the serenity, we know it’s going to be an unforgettable trip. Until then, we’ll keep planning, preparing, and praying for the amazing adventures ahead. Outer Banks, we’re coming for you soon!
