What are three objects you couldn’t live without?

If you asked me to list three objects I couldn’t live without, I’d have to tell you—there aren’t any. Not because I don’t own things that make life easier or more enjoyable, but because I try not to place my heart in possessions.

It’s easy to become attached to things. A favorite coffee mug, a reliable camping chair, a camera that captures life’s best moments—these are all great to have. But what happens if they break? If they get lost? If they are taken away? Does my joy disappear with them?

Instead of obsessing over things, I choose to be grateful for experiences. The laughter shared around a campfire, the peace of waking up to a sunrise in the woods, the simple joy of walking through my home in the morning and letting the light in—these are the moments that matter.

I’ve learned that everything in this world is temporary, but what I carry in my heart—the love of God, the love of my husband and family, the lessons from my journey—those are things that no one can take from me.

That’s not to say I don’t appreciate the tools that help me along the way. Our van, GLO, is a blessing. The camera we use to document our travels allows us to share our story. Even something as simple as a Bible is a treasured guide in my life. But if I lost them all, my faith, my purpose, and my love for life would remain.

So, no, there are no three objects I couldn’t live without. Instead, I cherish every day as an opportunity to experience life fully, to grow closer to God, and to make memories with the people I love. Because in the end, it’s not what we own but how we live that truly matters.
