Where would you go on a shopping spree?

If I ever had the chance to go on a shopping spree, I wouldn’t be heading to a high-end fashion store or loading up on the latest tech gadgets. No, my dream shopping spree would take me straight to a store stocked with everything needed to complete our van conversion with Glo. This wouldn’t just be any shopping trip—it would be an investment in the freedom to explore nature, to travel to the places Snatcher and I have long dreamed of, and most importantly, to go wherever God may send us.

Building Glo for the Journey

Right now, Glo is a work in progress, a vision slowly coming to life. But if I could load up my cart with every part and tool we need in one go, here’s what I’d grab first:

Solar Panels & Battery System – To power our adventures and allow us to stay off-grid for as long as we need, fully self-sufficient under the sun God placed in the sky.
A Comfortable Bed Setup – So we can rest well, ready to take on new trails, new places, and new assignments from God.
A Compact Kitchen – Because we all know food tastes better when it’s cooked on the road, surrounded by nature’s beauty. A good stove, a mini-fridge, and storage for all our campfire cooking essentials would be a must.
Water Filtration System – Ensuring we always have clean water, no matter where the road takes us.
Insulation & Climate Control – To keep us warm in the cold and cool in the heat as we travel through different landscapes.
Storage Solutions – So we can stay organized, maximizing our small space while keeping all our camping gear and essentials within reach.

More Than Just a Van—A Vessel for Purpose
This shopping spree isn’t just about making van life more comfortable—it’s about preparing for a life of purpose on the road. Glo isn’t just a vehicle; she’s a vessel. With her fully converted, we could travel not only to the places we want to see but also to the places God calls us to go. Whether it’s camping in the mountains, resting by a peaceful lake, or meeting God’s chosen people along the way who need to hear about Jesus Christ, Glo will carry us there.

This dream shopping spree would mean no more waiting, no more saving up for the next big purchase—just grabbing what’s needed, getting it done, and hitting the road. But even though we don’t have that luxury, I know that God’s timing is always perfect. Every step of this van build is teaching us patience, faith, and the importance of being grateful for what we have.

Until that shopping spree happens (or until we slowly but surely finish the build piece by piece), we’ll keep trusting, keep working, and keep looking forward to the day when Glo is fully ready to roll—wherever God leads.

Would you ever go on a shopping spree for something unconventional like this? What would be in your cart?
