Which animal would you compare yourself to and why?

If I had to compare myself to an animal, I would be an – Elephant. At first, I might have thought of something smaller, more reserved, something that blends in with the background—but the more I reflect, the more I see that an elephant fits me perfectly.

Strength in Spirit and Purpose

Elephants are known for their quiet strength. They don’t roar or boast of their power, yet their presence commands respect. That’s how I want to live—rooted in strength, not the kind that seeks approval from the world but the kind that comes from my faith in God. Like an elephant, I move with purpose, knowing that my path is guided by something greater than myself.

A Leader Who Walks in Wisdom

In elephant herds, the matriarch leads with wisdom gained from experience. She doesn’t dominate but guides, ensuring the safety and well-being of those who follow her. That’s the role I strive to take in my own life—leading young women not by force but by example, showing them what it means to walk in holiness, to embrace God’s will, and to reject the fleeting opinions of the world.

Holding on to What Matters

Elephants are known for their incredible memory, and while I may not recall every detail of life, I hold on to the lessons that shape me. The wisdom of my grandmothers, the love of my family, and the truths I learn from Scripture—these are things I cherish and carry with me, passing them down just as the elders of an elephant herd pass down their knowledge.

A Deep Connection to Nature

Elephants are creatures of the wild, roaming freely through the vast landscapes of the earth. Their deep connection to the land reminds me of my own love for nature, for camping, and for stepping away from the distractions of modern life to find peace in God’s creation. Just as an elephant enjoys the simplicity of a watering hole, I find joy in the quiet moments by a campfire, the rustling of trees, and the stillness of the outdoors.

Facing My Fears with Faith

Even the strongest creatures have fears. Elephants may be mighty, but they are known to startle at the unexpected. In the same way, I have my own fears—like deep water and the unknown. But just as an elephant learns to trust its instincts and the safety of the herd, I am learning to trust in God’s protection and guidance. Through faith, I face what once seemed impossible.

Embracing the Journey

An elephant never stays in one place for too long. They migrate, seeking new pastures, yet always stay connected to their family. My journey is much the same—I don’t know exactly where God will lead me next, whether it’s traveling in GLO, exploring new places, or growing deeper in my faith. But wherever I go, I carry with me the love of my family, the lessons of my past, and the strength to keep moving forward.

So, if I were an animal, I would be an elephant—strong yet gentle, wise yet always learning, and forever walking in the path that God has set before me.
