What’s the most fun way to exercise?

The most fun way for me to exercise has always been outdoors.

Ok, I know—there’s pollen, bugs, wind, and you can’t forget the dogs running loose now and then. But let’s set all that aside for a minute. Take an allergy pill, grab your walking stick, and get outside!

There’s just something about exercising in nature that brings me joy. Whether it’s a power walk on a trail, a casual stroll through the neighborhood, or even standing on the porch doing a little walkercise, it’s all better under the open sky. The fresh air, the sunshine, the chirping birds—it all feeds the body and the spirit.

You don’t need a gym or a treadmill. You just need a willing heart and a few minutes to move. The scenery alone can help you feel refreshed and recharged. Plus, while you’re outside, don’t forget to thank God for His beautiful creation. He gave us this earth to enjoy, and taking care of our bodies while soaking in His handiwork is a blessing.

Lord willing, I plan to do just that because we have our first camping trip of the year coming up—and yes, we’ll be bringing you all along for the ride!

So lace up those shoes, take that step, and let the great outdoors be your gym. See you on the trail!
