What place in the world do you never want to visit? Why?
One of the greatest joys in my life is exploring God’s creation through camping. Whether it’s in the mountains, near a quiet lake, or deep in the woods, I find so much peace being outside with Snatcher—breathing in the fresh air, reading the Word by the fire, and lifting up praise under the stars.
Our camping trips are more than just escapes from daily life—they are sacred moments. Every trail, every sunrise, every still night becomes a reminder of God’s majesty. We bring our Bibles. We pray. We speak the name of Jesus boldly and freely because He’s the reason we’re alive and blessed enough to take these trips in the first place.
That’s why there are certain places in this world we know we won’t travel to—places where expressing our belief in Jesus Christ is restricted or even punished. Where simply gathering to worship or reading a Bible openly could cost a person their freedom or their life.
It’s not that we don’t want to see new cultures or experience every corner of the earth. We love people from all walks of life, and we pray for every nation. But we know ourselves too well to go somewhere we’d be forced to hide who we are. We would still speak the name of Jesus. We would still praise God. We wouldn’t be able to hold back our faith just to fit in or stay safe.
So, for us, any destination that tries to silence the message of the cross simply isn’t worth the trip. Our camping adventures are built on freedom—not just the kind you feel when you’re out in nature, but the kind that comes from being able to worship without fear. That’s a freedom we don’t take for granted.
We’ll continue to camp where our voices can rise up in praise, where we can pray together without fear, and where our love for Christ can be seen and heard without apology.
We’re not just campers—we’re believers on a journey. And no matter where we land, we’ll always choose Jesus Christ first.
