Starting the Week Strong

When do you feel most productive?

I feel most productive first thing in the morning, after my body has had time overnight to rest and rejuvenate. There’s something about those early hours—the stillness, the freshness—that gives me a boost to tackle whatever the day holds.

But to be even more specific, I feel extremely productive on Sunday mornings, right after my full day of rest on the Sabbath. Honoring the Sabbath has truly changed my life. Taking that full day to step away from work, worries, and distractions allows my body, mind, and spirit to recharge the way God intended. When Sunday rolls around, I feel renewed, clear-headed, and ready to start the week strong.

And if I got to enjoy my Sabbath rest out in God’s creation while camping, that’s even better. There’s no better way to soak in the peace of the Sabbath than by being surrounded by trees, fresh air, and the sound of nature. It’s like God presses the reset button for me out there, preparing me to walk into the new week with strength, energy, and a grateful heart.

Starting the week strong isn’t about having a perfect plan or getting everything done—it’s about having the right spirit, a rested body, and a clear mind. Lord willing, I’ll continue to embrace this rhythm He designed, trusting that the more I rest in Him, the more fruitful and productive my days will be.

Here is a video to enjoy where we prepared for Passover and the Sabbath all in one while heading to the woods and did a little stealth camping!
