Have you ever broken a bone?

It wasn’t fun, not even a little bit. The snap, the searing pain, the immediate limitations – breaking a bone, any bone, throws your world into disarray. For me, it wasn’t just the physical healing that was tough; it was the shadow of fear that lingered long after the cast came off. Every time I considered doing something I used to enjoy, a little voice would whisper, “What if it happens again?” I found myself living in a self-imposed bubble, afraid to move freely, afraid to truly live.

But then, something shifted. I realized that fear was stealing more from me than the initial injury ever did. It was robbing me of joy, of experiences, of the very essence of what makes life vibrant. And in that moment, I knew I couldn’t let it win. Through the power of God, I made a conscious decision to break free from that fear.

This isn’t about the specifics of which bone I broke. The details of that particular mishap aren’t the point. The real story is about the journey of overcoming, about choosing courage over caution, and about rediscovering the thrill of life after injury.

That’s where our YouTube channel, Wherever We Land, comes in. It’s a visual diary of our adventures, a testament to the fact that limitations, whether physical or mental, don’t have to define us. We started this channel to document our journey back to living fully, to exploring the world, and to embracing the unknown.

And through it all, the driving force, the unwavering motivation, is God. It’s His strength that propels us forward, His guidance that leads us on these incredible adventures, and His love that connects us with the amazing people who watch our videos. The comments we receive – filled with inspiration and encouragement – are a constant reminder of His presence in our lives and in the lives of others. It’s humbling and deeply moving to know that our experiences, shared through the lens of faith, can resonate with and uplift others.

My heart’s desire in sharing this is simple: if you’re reading this and facing your own “broken bone” – whether it’s a physical injury, a setback, a fear, or anything else that’s holding you back – I want you to know that you are not alone. There is a power greater than any obstacle, a love that conquers all fear. Seek God, lean on His strength, and trust in the possibility of healing and renewed joy. All things are truly possible when you seek Him. Let His inspiration guide you, and know that you too can break free and start living again.
