List three books that have had an impact on you. Why?

Throughout my life, I’ve turned to many sources for wisdom, strength, and truth—but nothing has had a deeper impact on me than the three most powerful books I’ve encountered. They shaped how I see the world, how I carry myself, and how I seek the Most High. These books are: the King James Bible (KJV), the Apocrypha, and the Book of Jasher—which I’m still studying carefully to ensure it aligns with the KJV version of Scripture.

1. The King James Bible (KJV): My Foundation

The King James Bible is the cornerstone of my spiritual life. Every page carries weight. Its language is powerful, poetic, and purposeful. For years, I’ve read, studied, and meditated on the scriptures, and with each return, I find something new. The KJV has helped me navigate darkness, find purpose, and understand who I am in the grand design of creation.

What makes the KJV so influential for me is its consistency, its reverence for the original text, and the way it echoes the voice of God through every chapter. It’s not just a book—it’s a living word that speaks directly to my spirit.

2. The Apocrypha: The Missing Pieces That Made Things Whole

Once I began to explore beyond the standard canon, I was introduced to the Apocrypha—and my understanding of scripture expanded. Books like 2 Esdras, Wisdom of Solomon, and Sirach filled in gaps and answered questions I didn’t even know I had. They offered insight into the wisdom, warnings, and hidden truths that often get overlooked in mainstream teachings.

The Apocrypha gave me deeper clarity about historical events, divine judgment, and the promises made to a chosen people. It resonated with me in a way that was both humbling and eye-opening. It didn’t contradict the KJV—it complemented it.

3. The Book of Jasher: The Search for Alignment

The third book that has shaped my journey is a bit different, because I’m still in the process of fully embracing it: the Book of Jasher. Why? Because while I’ve encountered versions of it, I’m searching for the edition that aligns with the King James Bible—the one that speaks with the same spirit and doesn’t drift into unfamiliar doctrine or added ideas.

The Book of Jasher is referenced in Joshua 10:13 and 2 Samuel 1:18, which means it’s part of the biblical puzzle. I believe it holds historical and spiritual insight that can deepen my understanding of early scriptural events—especially the lives of the patriarchs. But like all truth seekers, I tread carefully. Not every version available today is trustworthy. I want the Jasher that honors the rhythm, tone, and authority of the KJV.

So, I continue my search—because I believe in discernment. I believe in alignment. And I believe that when I find the right version, it will be like discovering a key that unlocks even more wisdom.

Why These Books Matter

These three books—the KJV, the Apocrypha, and the Book of Jasher—represent a journey. A journey of faith, study, and awakening. They have challenged me, guided me, and made me more intentional about how I walk through this life. I don’t read them to impress anyone. I read them to grow closer to the Most High, to understand His ways, and to align myself with His will.

If you’re on a path of truth, don’t be afraid to seek out the deeper things. Test every source. Pray for discernment. And never stop growing.

Final Thought

The Bible says, Seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you (Matthew 7:7 KJV). I’m still seeking, still knocking. And when I find the Jasher that aligns with the KJV, I’ll read it with the same humility and hunger I brought to the first two. Until then, I continue forward—step by step, book by book, truth by truth.
