If you had to change your name, what would your new name be?
If I ever had to change my name, I already know what it would be—Gabrielle, meaning God is my strength. That name speaks directly to my heart and my journey. It carries weight, it carries power, and most of all, it carries truth.
Looking back on my childhood and young adult years, I can see clearly how many moments tested me—mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. There were times I didn’t think I could make it through. Times I felt alone, confused, or unsure of what path to take. But through it all, God was my strength. I didn’t always recognize it at the time, but as I grew in faith and wisdom, I saw His hand on every step of my life.
The name *Gabrielle* would be a beautiful reminder of how far I’ve come—not by my own power, but through the strength of the Most High. And it still fits today. Whether I’m navigating the ups and downs of everyday life or venturing into the wild unknown on one of our camping trips, I hold fast to His hand. Out in nature, surrounded by His creation, I’m reminded even more of how strong and present God is.
He is my guide when we hike unfamiliar trails. He is my peace when the weather turns. He is my provider when we make a fire and break bread under the stars. Gabrielle wouldn’t just be a name—it would be a declaration that no matter what I face, I know where my strength comes from.
And that’s a name I would wear with honor.
