What is your favorite season of year? Why?
When it comes to seasons, I’ve got two favorites that always make me smile — Spring and Fall. While every season has its own beauty, there’s just something extra special about these two. They each bring the perfect weather for one of my absolute favorite things to do: camping and enjoying the great outdoors.
Springtime is like a fresh start. The flowers bloom, the trees wake up, and the breeze carries a sweet, earthy scent that reminds me of new beginnings. The temperatures are just right — not too hot, not too cold — making it the ideal time to pitch a tent, lace up my boots, and go exploring. Whether I’m walking a nature trail, sitting by a campfire, or just soaking in the scenery, everything feels alive and vibrant in the spring. And after being cooped up through winter, there’s no better feeling than stepping out into that fresh, crisp air with the sound of birds returning from their winter break.
Then comes Fall, bringing with it a quiet kind of magic. The leaves turn brilliant shades of red, orange, and gold, and the air has that gentle chill that makes you want to wrap up in a cozy sweater or blanket beside the fire. The bugs are fewer, the skies often clearer, and the nights just cool enough for the perfect sleep in a tent. There’s something peaceful about Fall that speaks to my soul. It’s a reminder to slow down, breathe deep, and enjoy the stillness of nature before winter settles in.
Both seasons are filled with opportunities to connect with nature in ways that are sometimes harder to enjoy during the extremes of summer heat or winter cold. Spring and Fall give me the space to reflect, reset, and appreciate the beauty of God’s creation all around me. From hikes through blooming trails to peaceful mornings sipping coffee by the campfire, these seasons are truly a gift.
So, while I enjoy the fun of summer and the cozy vibes of winter, it’s Spring and Fall that win my heart every time. They offer the perfect balance for camping, outdoor adventures, and making lifelong memories with the ones I love. Whether it’s waking up to the songs of birds in the spring or watching the leaves gently fall in autumn, I’ll always be grateful for these two beautiful seasons.
