What bothers you and why?

You know what really gets under my skin? I do not have enough days off to do what I love—and that’s packing up, hitting the road, and camping out somewhere peaceful with a campfire crackling, trees whispering, and not a single deadline in sight. Just me, Snatcher, nature, and maybe a marshmallow or two living their best life.

I work from home, so I can’t even blame traffic. My commute is from the bed to the desk, but that doesn’t mean I have extra time. Somehow, the work still finds a way to hog all the daylight hours—especially the ones that would be perfect for sitting by a lake or exploring a new trail.

Snatcher and I talk about it all the time. We dream of the day we can shift into part-time work and full-time camper travelers—but of course, that’s after we knock out every bit of debt. Priorities, right? Pay it off, then drive off.

Our ultimate goal? To write our blogs while looking out at a beautiful lake or gentle river, letting nature be our daily dose of inspiration. There’s something about the stillness of water and the rustling of trees that unlocks creativity in a way no office ever could.

And when Sabbath rolls around, oh how it’s appreciated even more in nature. Out there, in God’s creation, with no distractions—just rest, reflection, and His presence—it’s the purest peace. Spending that holy day unplugged and surrounded by His handiwork feels like a glimpse of what heaven might be.

One day, we’ll have fewer work hours and more campfire hours. Fewer deadlines and more stargazing. Until then, we’ll keep planning, keep dreaming, and keep our hearts pointed toward the wilderness, waiting for the moment we can finally say: we made it.
