Are you seeking security or adventure?

If you ever find yourself wondering whether I’m chasing security or seeking adventure, the answer is simple: yes. I want both. And I’m not ashamed to say it!

See, there was a time when I thought I had to choose. That I either needed to be the woman who played it safe, held onto routines, and clung to comfort zones—or the one who chased sunsets, camped under the stars, and wandered wherever the wind blew. But here’s what I’ve come to realize: I don’t have to pick one. I get to live in the balance of both.

My security doesn’t come from a padded bank account, a predictable schedule, or a neatly laid out five-year plan. My true security comes from God—the one who doesn’t change, even when everything around me does. He’s the anchor in my life, the peace in the chaos, the calm in the wild. I trust in Him completely, and because of that trust, I feel safe enough to step out and explore this beautiful creation He made.

Now that’s where the adventure kicks in.

Give me a winding trail, the smell of campfire smoke, the sound of birds chirping before sunrise, and I am home. Nature is my playground, my therapy, my reset button. When I’m out camping, walking through forests, or just sitting by a peaceful stream, I feel the most alive. It’s like I get to taste the freedom that comes from letting go of all the noise and remembering what matters.

Adventure, for me, is about collecting moments—not things. It’s about being brave enough to sleep in a tent when the wind howls (and praying no raccoons stop by for a snack). It’s about waking up early just to catch the sun peeking through the trees. It’s about laughing around a fire with the people I love most and finding inspiration in the wild places that feel untouched by the world.

But I’d never trade God’s covering for any thrill. That’s what makes this lifestyle so sweet—I’m not out here aimlessly wandering. I’m guided, protected, and secure in His plan for me. That’s the kind of peace that makes every adventure more meaningful.

So yes, I’m seeking security AND adventure. I want to chase dreams, explore trails, and breathe in the fresh air of the unknown—but I want to do it all while standing firm in the love and promises of my Creator.

Because when your foundation is steady, you’re free to roam a little wild.

Let’s live this life fully—secure in our faith and free to explore the adventure.

See you on the trail (or in the hammock)!
