Come up with a crazy business idea.

We know it’s been a while since our last post but thought we’d catch you up on a crazy idea.

Some ideas don’t arrive when everything is finished and polished. They show up when you’re standing inside an empty van, staring at bare walls, wondering what on earth you signed up for.

That’s pretty much where we are right now—Snatcher and Nikki, mid-build, mid-dream, and very much still figuring things out.

Glo is far from finished. At the moment, we’ve got floor insulation, a bed, a ceiling installed, and a fully built kitchen cabinet. That’s it. No walls yet. No electrical system dialed in. No fancy finishes. And still… so much more to go.

Somewhere in the middle of building what we have so far, a crazy thought started creeping in.

We Just Wanted to Build Our Own Van

This journey didn’t start with a business idea. It started with us wanting a camper van that actually worked for our lifestyle.

Not something pre-designed. Not something rushed. Just a space we could slowly build with our own hands, learning as we went.

And that’s exactly what we’re doing. Plans change. Measurements get rethought. Some things work better in theory than in practice. But every piece we add teaches us something new.

Even with just the basics in place, Glo has already taken us on real adventures.

Building First, Dreaming Later

We’re not waiting until the van is “done” to use it. We’re testing it as we go—sleeping in it, cooking in it, and learning what actually matters when you’re living in a small space.

That’s when the comments started rolling in.

“You built that yourselves?”
“You should do this for other people.”

And every time, we kind of laugh—because the van isn’t even close to finished yet.

A Business Idea… or Just a Wild Daydream?

Yes, we’ve talked about it. The idea of one day building custom camper vans based on real-world experience, not just blueprints.

But right now, it’s nothing more than a thought floating around while we’re still knee-deep in sawdust.

We have a lot left to build. Systems to install. Mistakes to make. Lessons to learn. And honestly, that’s the part we’re focused on right now.

Or Maybe It’s Not So Crazy After All

Is the idea a little wild? Probably.
Could it turn into something real one day? Maybe.

For now, we’re just building our van, piece by piece, and seeing where the road takes us.

If you want to follow along with our real-life, still-under-construction van build and the adventures we’re already having in our van “Glo,” check out our YouTube channel Wherever We Land.

You never know how these things start—but this one definitely started in an unfinished van.

Stay tuned.
