There is something about a “forever favorite” movie or TV series that just feels like home. Whether it’s a classic sitcom you’ve seen since childhood or a blockbuster trilogy you’ve memorized line-for-line, we all have those stories we return to over and over again. When people ask, “What movies or TV series have you watched?” they are really asking: What makes you feel at peace?

For Nikki and me (Snatcher), that feeling of peace is exactly what we’ve been building inside “Glo,” our 2023 Dodge Ram ProMaster. In our latest video on the Wherever We Land YouTube channel, we reached a massive milestone—securing the furniture that turns a work van into a living space. Watching a favorite movie is great, but watching it from a custom-built “loveseat” in a van you built with your own hands? That’s the dream.

Why We Keep Coming Back (To Our Favorites and Our Build)

Just like that one TV series you can watch five, ten, or twenty times, our van build journey is all about the details that make a space worth living in. In our newest vlog, Snatcher takes you through the process of locking down the luxury DIY van kitchen galley and the “loveseat” (or bench, depending on who you ask!).

We used plus nuts and custom wood bracing to ensure that when we’re driving down the North Carolina backroads, nothing—absolutely nothing—is flying apart. We even show you a clever trick using putty to find the perfect drill spots for mounting furniture to the van walls!

The “Wherever We Land” Favorites List

While we are busy installing 12V lighting and perfecting the plumbing, we often have our favorite series playing in the background. Here are a few movies and shows that have definitely cleared that “5-watch” mark for us:

The bed is secure, the MaxxAir fan is in, and the AC is keeping us cool. But we aren’t done yet! We need your help to decide the next steps. Should we tackle the overhead cabinets next, or should we build the floor-to-ceiling storage closet beside the bed for our gear?
