If you’ve been following our journey at Wherever We Land, you know that our life isn’t just about miles on the road or the wood and screws inside our DIY camper van, Glo. It’s about something much deeper. People often ask us: “What is one word that describes your channel?”
After our latest “shakedown trip” to the mountains (which you can see in the video above!), we finally found that word. It isn’t “travel,” “vanlife,” or even “DIY.”
That word is: FAITH.
Faith is the foundation of every cut Snatcher makes in the galley. Faith is what kept Nikki painting when the project felt endless. And most importantly, Faith is what reminds us that no matter where the wheels stop—whether it’s a scenic lake in North Carolina or a quiet spot off-grid—God’s got us wherever we land.
The “Shakedown” of Life
In our latest video, we took “Glow” out for her first real test. We found some loose doors, a tiny water leak, and realized we needed a few more comforts. But isn’t that just like life? We all go through “shakedown” periods where the bumps in the road show us what needs tightening. To God be the glory, because those moments aren’t failures—they are opportunities to grow stronger.
Seeing the mountains, the fresh air, and the beauty of the Most High YAH’s creation reminds us that all things are possible. When we started this van build, we weren’t professional builders. We were just two people with a vision and a prayer. We give all honor, glory, and praise to YAH for giving us the hands and the mind to build this home on wheels.
