Van walls are NEVER straight! 🚐📐

If there is one thing we’ve learned during this Dodge Ram ProMaster conversion, it’s this: Nothing is ever straight in a van.

We’ve been working hard to turn this empty shell into a functional home, and today we’re tackling one of the most essential (and frustrating) parts of the build—the closet.

The Challenge: Curves, Curves, and More Curves

In a standard house, you have 90-degree angles and flat drywall. In a van? You have ribs, curves, and tapering walls. Getting a square cabinet to sit flush against a ProMaster wall requires more than just a measuring tape; it takes a serious amount of creativity and a lot of patience.

“The problem is the wall isn’t straight. So getting this cabinet to actually fit is going to take some creativity.”

We’ve spent the day scribing, measuring, and re-measuring to ensure we don’t waste any of our materials. If we get this right, it means finally having real storage for our gear, clothes, and essentials. No more living out of bins!

What’s Next for the Build?

With the closet framing underway, we are one step closer to finishing the interior. From the solar power setup to the custom cabinetry, every day brings us closer to hitting the road full-time.
