Write about a time when you didn’t take action but wish you had. What would you do differently?

There are many times in my life—especially during my teenage years—when I didn’t take action to resolve the issues I was facing. Instead of dealing with my emotions head-on or seeking guidance, I let anger fester in my heart. I didn’t realize at the time how much it was silently shaping my future, leading me down paths I later wished I’d avoided.

Looking back, I can see the moments where I could have made better choices—moments where I wish I had been reading my Bible more, listening for God’s voice, and walking in His truth instead of my own pain. I truly believe that if I had been more rooted in Scripture, I would have known peace and clarity rather than confusion and regret.

But even in the middle of my mistakes, God never left me.

Today, I am so thankful for a forgiving and merciful God—one who doesn’t hold my past against me but offers me a fresh start. I no longer live in the shadow of that old anger. It may try to rise up sometimes, but it’s fleeting now. I know where to take it—straight to the feet of Jesus Christ.

Now, I walk in God’s truth, and life just feels lighter. I find joy in the little things: early morning prayers, the warmth of the sun shining through the trees, the calm that comes when I sit quietly in His presence. One of the greatest joys of all is getting to go camping with Snatcher. Out in nature, with no distractions, I feel God’s peace more clearly than ever. Every bird song, every breeze, every crackling fire reminds me that I’ve been given another day—a day to walk in freedom, to love deeply, and to live purposefully.

I don’t take that for granted.

So if you’re carrying anger or regret from your past, I just want to say—it’s not too late. God is still writing your story, and His grace is bigger than your mistakes. He did it for me, and He can do it for you.

Hallelujah for new beginnings!

Sometimes I don’t think we realize how much God loves us, and that he is always there even in my mess, but all we have to do Is call on him and he will be there. We have a merciful and gracious God we serve.
